Sick Baby

Alex came down with his first cold this weekend : (. It started with excessive drooling, so we thought that teeth may be coming. Next came a loose cough - we thought this may be a result of the excessive drool draining down his throat. Not too far after came the nasal congestion and a fountain of snot flowing freely and constantly from his nose. And unfortunately the fever came yesterday. We had a rough night Friday night as he would wake up coughing and try to suck his fingers to fall back asleep, but couldn't suck his fingers as he couldn't breathe through his nose - poor baby. We raised one end of his mattress up last night and that seemed to help some and last night was a little better for all. We have logged lots of hours in the rocker together this weekend. He hasn't been too fussy, but you can tell he is just not himself and feels pretty miserable.
