Easter Fun

We enjoyed some Easter Fun this morning with our good friends.  We started with an Easter Egg Hunt.  We decided just to do one at our house this year.  The kids were so excited....

Brodie got in on the action a little bit too.....
But mostly just liked to watch the other kids from the best seat in the house...

 Enjoying some treats...

Next we headed to our friends for some egg dying fun...

After using the hose to wash off dyed hands...the hose got used to make mud which led to splashing mud fun....

Checking out his loot at home!

Papa and Grandma

Papa and Grandma came to visit this past weekend.  They were lucky to exchange the cold and snow of Michigan for the sunny 70's of the South.

We spent all day Saturday playing outside.  Alex had Grandma working in the garden all morning.  In the afternoon, Alex had to be one of the guys watching MSU basketball.

Am hoping he was just holding Papa's beer for him....

Brodie was loving bubbles all weekend and attempting to blow them himself...

 Sandbox fun...

On Saturday night Eric and I got out for a date night.  We enjoyed the beautiful weather and sat outside to eat at Bridge Street.  Papa and Grandma walked the boys to Zen Beri for frozen yogurt after dinner.

On Sunday we all went to Church and enjoyed a nice brunch at Grill 29 where we were able to sit outside on the patio.  Both boys behaved extremely well.

Papa and Grandma took Alex fishing on Sunday afternoon.  He was thrilled to catch two fish.  He had about as much fun playing with the worms as he did fishing :).

We had a little rain on Monday, so Grandma entertained the boys inside for a little bit.  Alex got a sword for his prize at the dentist that morning, so he and Grandma had some sword adventures...

Cozy reading time...

They stayed until Tuesday morning to help watch the boys so I could get some things done.  We appreciated the extra sets of hands and ran a lot of errands and got a lot of projects around the house done.  It was a great weekend.

15 Month Stats

Brodie had his 15 Month well visit today.   We are thankful for a healthy little boy who is growing and developing right on track.  When the doctor walked in he was like 'he sure doesn't look like a
15 month old" ;).

Here are his stats -
Weight - 25 lbs - 50th percentile
Height - 33 1/2 inches - 97th percentile
Head - 48 1/4 cm - 70th percentile

For comparison - here are Alex's 15 month stats -
Weight - 25 pounds - 50th percentile
Height - 32 1/2 inches - 75th - 90th percentile
Head - 48 1/2 cm - 75th - 90th percentile

A little picture comparison too....

15 Months and Catching Up

Our sweet little boy is 15 months old.  He is so much fun.  I LOVE this age so much!

He is also a whole lot of trouble :).   A few examples...
     *He is a master climber....

*The other day he brought me over to a floor register and pointed at it and said "uh oh".  Not sure what    he put down there, but have seen him add other treasures since.

*He walks up to the fireplace and looks at me and says "no no" as he is opening the grate.

Brodie still LOVES outside.  He stands at the door and cries to go out and cries when we come in from outside.  He is so happy just walking around and exploring.

Brodie is still a great eater.  His current favorite foods are blueberries, cheese, macaroni and cheese and Quaker Oat Squares.

Brodie loves to brush his teeth.  The minute we sit down to read books at bed time he already starts saying "bush bush" and doing the brushing motion.

Brodie has officially moved to one nap a day and it has been great.  He goes right down and usually sleeps 2 1/2-3 hours.

Brodie is constantly saying new words.   A few of his latest...
    behbeh - blueberries
     wawa - water
     whazat - what's that?

Brodie and Alex have been playing more and more together.  Brodie is a little imitator and imitates whatever he sees Alex do.
Playing hide and seek - hiding in Momma's closet...

Helping Alex "fix" his 4 wheeler...

Helping Daddy work on the car..

And a little catching up with big brother too.   He loves working in the garden...
He thinks he is Spiderman.  I have to come up with scenarios where he needs to go save people - here he is climbing a tall building to save people stuck at the top of the building....

Alex still LOVES golf.  He plays it every day and it is almost always the first thing he plays when we go outside.  His latest is to pretend he is the golfer and Eric is his caddie ;).

Alex started 'big boy' church in January.  They have a mini worship service with singing and a storyteller and then head back to their small groups/classrooms.  He has been loving the music and sings "Our God is an Awesome God" about 50 times a day.  Here is a little mini concert for you....
