Alex is 6!!!

I don't need to say it - every one knows it - TIME FLIES!  I can't believe that Alex is already 6 years old!  Crazy how fast it has gone.

One present first thing in the morning:


He wanted to go to Chuck E Cheese's for his birthday:

 Cake at home that night.  He wanted a dirt bike track cake this year...

 

We got him a new bike  - which has since been returned ;(.  The hand brakes were so far from the handlebar he couldn't reach them to stop, so he will be getting a new bike for his birthday at some point.


A few days later we celebrated with his cousins:

Alex had his well visit and once again we are so blessed to have a healthy child. 

Weight:  49 inches (67th percentile)

Height;  48 inches (90th percentile)

Vision: 20/30

Blood Pressure:  104/70

The visit made an impression on him.  A few days later I was downstairs and he yelled "Momma - can you bring us up a cup?  Brodie and I are playing doctor and I need to pee in a cup!"

Favorite thing to eat:  hotdogs  (so funny he said this because I never buy these because Eric and I both hate them.  I would say his true favorite thing is bread and butter with equal parts of both!)

Favorite thing to drink:  Monster (I had to ask him what he meant - apparently the day before Eric let him try some of his Monster Energy drink on the golf course and he thought that was a big deal)

Alex still loves sports.  He loves to golf and he just got his first true par this summer. It was on a Par 3 - 100 yards.  He drove in the fairway, chipped it close and putted it in. Eric told Alex he was playing out of his mind.  Later on a Par 3 - 125 yard hole, Alex just missed a putt for another Par. He said to Eric, "I am really playing away from my brain today, aren't I dad?" :).

Alex is still very social.  He always wants to be on the go and playing with someone.  He likes to be active - and usually chooses to play sports.

He has gotten very into legos this year - which is great because it is an activity that allows him to keep himself occupied!

He is adventurous - loves big waves at the beach, wants to go over jumps on his bike, etc.

He loves books and will sit for hours and be read to.

He is excited to be heading to Kindergarten this year.
