Mud, Hives, Creeks, Popsicles, 17 Months and Everything In Between....

I am way behind on my blogging - so am going to just dump that last month of pictures into one huge blog post. 

Alex woke up one morning with hives/welts all over his torso...

It progressed to the rest of his body.  We couldn't find a cause so the doctor thinks it was caused by a virus.  He was pretty miserable for a couple of days until the steroids worked.  This next picture still breaks my heart : (....

We have had wacky weather this spring- from hot and humid to rainy and cold.  Our boys don't really care what the weather is - they want to be outside!

Alex is still obsessed with golf and it is the first thing that he does when we go outside.

HOT weather= hoses, water table and popsicles...

The other day I slightly lost my mind and decided to fill the water table with mud.  Oh did they love it!

 We still visit our local Botanical Gardens at least once a week.  The butterflies are now in bloom and Brodie is fascinated by them...he will kinda poke at him and then it startles him when they flutter and then he starts giggling...

Brodie is now 17 Months...
*He is talking up a storm and saying new words all the time...
    "down".  If he is being carried and wants to be on the go, he will say "down". 

     "phone" - he used to say "pho" - but now says "phone" - wants Eric's old iphone all the time

     "snack" - how he asks for food

     "he momma" - saying "here momma" - when he hands me something he doesn't want

*Still a total Daddy's Boy.   Doesn't care what Eric is doing, he wants to be sitting by Eric or held by Eric. 

*Is a little imitator.  Anything Alex does, Brodie is one step behind doing or attempting to do the exact same thing. 
*He is a little instigator too.  He will do things to bug Alex and then yell "NO" before Alex can yell it at him.  He will grab Alex's blanket away from him on walks, grab toys from him, etc. 
*Brodie continues to be a great eater.  He is doing very well feeding himself with utensils.

*Brodie LOVES outside.  He is happy as can be when we are outside.  He just loves to wander around and explore.
*He continues to be a climber and is up on anything and everything in seconds..

*Brodie is a very good sleeper.  He sleeps through the night and takes a good nap.  He is obsessed with a lift-the-flap Christmas book right now.  If you try to offer him any other book for his bedtime story he will take it and throw it to the floor until you get the Christmas one. 
*Brodie and Alex are playing more and more together and do a good job of entertaining each other.  It still ends in tears at times, but we are getting there ;).   Alex loves to be a big helper and "watch" Brodie for me.  The other day he even wiped his nose for me...

*Brodie is truly a happy little guy and very easy going and fun right now.
