Happy Half Birthday!

Somehow our little man is 6 months old today.  I can't believe how fast time has gone!

Here is what sweet Brodie Jon is up to these days....

He is pretty good at sitting up on his own - he still gets a little tippy and will topple over reaching for toys...
 

 
Brodie LOVES to be outside.  He is happy as can be sitting in his jogging stroller just watching and observing.  We usually eat dinner on the deck and then Eric and Alex swim while Brodie and I hang out on the edge of the pool and Brodie just loves to watch them.  
 
Brodie is still Mr. Laid Back.  He rarely fusses and is pretty content to just hang out. 
 
He is still a big grabber - faces, ears, hair, clothes, etc.  Alex is ALWAYS in Brodie's personal space and has the consequence of getting a good hair pulling from his little brother. 








 
Brodie is rolling everywhere now - we often find him exploring off of his play mat...

 
Of course his favorite time to practice his mobility is nap/bedtime.  He is moving all over his crib now and often gets himself stuck.  His sleep has improved a lot over the past couple of weeks.  I put him down awake and he usually plays/rolls around for 10-15 minutes then starts fussing and I got in and flip him over and give him his snuggie and paci and he goes to sleep on his own.  He does often falls asleep nursing at night.  He is sleeping through the night most nights, but still has one or two nights a week where he will roll over and get stuck and be restless for a bit.  He was waking up between 4-5 to eat, but the past two mornings I was able to put a paci in and he went back to sleep until between 6-7, so hopefully we are close to making it 11-12 hours at night!  His naps are anywhere from 1-3 hours and he is taking two naps a day.

Brodie has been eating rice cereal for about a week now and is doing very well with it. He gets impatient if it is too long between bites.  Big brother always assists with the cereal feeding so it is quite the messy experience ;).

Brodie is very tolerant of all the love he gets from Alex.  Alex always wants to be playing with Brodie and is always in his space - but for the most part Brodie is full of smiles for Alex.  And Alex can always get belly laughs out of Brodie.

Brodie is still a baldie.

Loves to splash at bath time.

Loves remote controls.

We love you sweet baby boy!
