14 MONTHS OLD

Another month has flown by and here is what our little man is up to these days....

Talking: Here are his new words/sounds this month...
Alex says "buh bye", "baby", and "hat".
It appears that Buddy may be "bud bud" - but not totally consistent on this one
He also says several word/sounds if you ask him what something says:
Mouse - "squeak"
Motorcycle - "vrrmmm vrrrmmm"
Tractor - "putt putt"
(He also pants for a dog and pounds on his chest for a gorilla)


LOVES trucks, tractors, motorcycles, trains, etc. He spots them on our walks and while riding in the car. He about launches himself out of the stroller as he tries to twist and turn and see them if we pass one - then he will look up at us with his mouth open in amazement, like "did you see that?"


LOVES his daddy! It is big excitement in our house when daddy comes home. Alex (and Buddy) will see him pull up from the front window, then they both run to the door and wait for Eric to open it....not sure which one is more excited. Alex has to check out what daddy brings in the house with him, then he will look up at Eric and run away and wait for Eric to come chase him....big fun.



Mr. Inquisitive.... Alex has to check out everything that he sees and is just the biggest explorer. He spent 10 minutes looking under the hood with Eric and he has to touch everything!


Mr. Independent.....he likes to do things by himself. He likes to use a spoon and fork and try to feed himself. He is always pushing things up the driveway - wet vac, his stroller, his cozy coupe, etc. and does not like it if I try to help him on the hilly part.

Here is another example - he likes to wear his little backpack around and I will put it on his back...

....well the other day he put it on all by himself :) .....don't worry I won't let him strangle himself!

LOVES LOVES LOVES outside. He is so happy outside and if we are inside very long he goes to the door and tries to open it. He entertains himself so well outside - he finds leaves, pushes things around, walks all around our cul-de-sac and tries to visit the neighbors, etc.

Still really likes books - I hope this continues forever!

Loves other kids! We went to the park today and he played with a 2 year old and 3 year old boy and just thought they were so cool!

We are blessed to have a sweet little boy. He is so much fun right now. He is a good sleeper and a good eater and except for his occasional fussy moments he is really pretty much a easy go lucky child.
